Singapore 3D2N: 1983 Cafe Nanyang

Our flight was around 7am, which means, we needed to arrive around 5am for check-in and some turn-around time just in case of emergency. That's why we didn't have proper breakfast, just some light food to fill our stomach. When we arrived at Changi, the first thing that crossed our mind was,  FOOOOOOD ~~~~

There was where we came across a restaurant called 1983, located just right outside the arrival hall in Terminal 2. The shop looks simple, and crowded and they serve local food at reasonable price!!

Photo taken just right after the ramp heading out from the customs.

It was full house by the time our food arrived.
I really love their interior design~

Can you see how long the queue was? (Not to mention, I have cropped a few more out)
Luckily we arrived at a perfect timing~

Photo taken from our place.
Love their interior design, simple and nice :)

Nasi Lemak, SGD5.50.

Curry chicken with rice, SGD5.90.
The drumstick was larger than our local KFC drumstick!

Fish balls noodles, SGD4.50.

Here's their menu.
So worthy right? :D

Nice food, low price, right portion, super satisfying stomach! What a way to start a day XD
Stay tuned for more!

Seoul 6D5N: 多味粥专卖店

It was already our last day in Seoul, time does fly! We decided to have early breakfast before packing our luggage and heading to the airport. There is this shop located in Myeong-dong recommended by my jimui's Travel Guide Book, which sells all sorts of porridge, dumplings and tea.

From the photo, you are able to see
Innisfree on the left, and on the right, it is The Face Shop.

The shop is located underground.

This was the crowd at 7 o'clock in the morning!

Those are feedbacks, recommendations and compliments from past customers,
all over the wall and the ceilings!

The porridges are made upon order, so its super fresh!

They are selling ready-made kimchi too~~~

Photo taken from our place.
Hand-written testimonials are all over the place~~

This was the dumplings that we ordered.

The dumplings were super huge and juicy!!

How 'bout porridge? My apologies that I forgot to take any of it, was too famished that I straight savoured it already LOL... The porridge was nothing like the ones that I had so far, a very satisfying meal indeed! :D

Here's a glance of what we ordered.
The price was quite reasonable~

That's all for this entry. Would probably write about what I've bought from Korea (cosmetics and snacks) if I've got the time lol

Have a great day ahead aite!

Secret of Louisiana

Last month was the month of my birthday! Mine and LP's too :) When S said she wanted to give us a surprise dinner, we thought that she was joking but it turned out she was super serious about it! She made me excited and really looked forward for the dinner because based on the online review that she shared with us, the restaurant got a super super high rating from the author!

It is located at Plaza Kelana Jaya, which is super near to the LRT station that I go to everyday, for work. I could reach the place within 10 minutes from Kelana Jaya LRT Station if there were to be no jam! However, I took around half an hour to reach the place after I got back from work! So yeah, please plan your journey ahead if you were to visit during peak hour! *Congestion on LDP is of  no joke*

We need to pay RM2/entry upon entering Plaza Kelana Jaya. Lucky me, found parking in the indoor carpark which was located quite near to the Secret of Louisiana!

Address of Secret of Louisiana:
Block D-1-01 Jalan SS7/13A, Plaza Kelana Jaya, 47301 Petaling Jaya Selangor.
Click here to view their elaborate menu!

They publish their menu outside too.

The entrance to the restaurant :)

It was almost 8pm when I arrived.
Else, sure able to catch the sunset like LP did!

You see the atmosphere!
No wonder a lot of people have their proposal and wedding dinner here!

Taken from our place :)

New England Clam Chowder, RM26.
Rich and creamy chowder, loaded with fresh clams, diced potatoes and celery.

Carribbean Sea Munchers, RM50.

A combo platter contains baked mussels, Cajun fried prawns,
calamari fritters, and fish fingers.

Fiery soft shell crab pasta, RM36

This spaghetti is cooked Al Dante wth yellow zucchini,
and the soft shell crabs is fried to perfection with Cajun seasoning.

Nut and seed layered chicken, RM35.

Grilled chicken breast with Cajun spice, sliced and layered with organic nut and seed,
served on lightly mashed potato and carrot. Dizzled with Fig chutney sauce :D

The dinner was super satisfying. We really took our time to slowly savour the mouth-watering food. It's not everyday that I got to have such sumptuous dinner so I was super happy! It was super filing though I didn't have rice for dinner (first time wey lol). The restaurant is really a favourite place of everyone for just any occasions because we heard a lot of birthday songs every now and then. The lights were switched off each time and people started singing birthday song. We were the 5th birthday table of the night! LOL.. Felt a bit shy already haha..

S was very thoughtful as well that she prepared birthday desserts for us! Nowadays, having cake for birthday is like so mainstream already haha.. So yeah, here it comes, our birthday photo :D

Love how the camera is able to capture so well in low-light condition!

Should have arranged our things more nicely aiks~~
Nevertheless, nice photo indeed! ❤

Such a simple and sweet and memorable birthday dinner.
Thanks dear ❤❤

Seoul 6D5N: Korean BBQ

After our Everland adventure, we were seriously very exhausted and thus, we decided to reward ourselves with some Korea style BBQ! There is this shop located in Myeong-dong that was recommended by the Travel Guide that my jimui bought. We spent like more than half an hour to locate this shop because, still remember what I said about Myeong-dong? It's like a maze! Being a person with no sense of direction? It just got worse! LOL

Anyway, we went back to Namsan Guest House first and changed into something more comfy before  hunting for the shop. It was already 8pm by the time we found it!

The shop is located upstairs, right above the shop "San Jin".

As you can see, the area is quite dark, because the place was rather isolated as compared to those shop that we visited few days back. So yeah, make sure you are aware of your vicinity and always be alert of your surrounding, especially if you are not with a huge gang of friends.

They are considerate enough to show cast their menu at the ground floor, just outside of their staircase. So you would have plenty of time to decide on what you wanna order.

The food looks quite tempting eh~

After we had made up our mind, we went up to the shop.

It was not a very big restaurant, but it wasn't as stuffy as it seems.
The air ventilation was quite good.

I forget what we ordered, but I remember we had a set of beef and pork, and perhaps chicken too? Ah, I really couldn't recall anymore. I just know that the food was awesome. The owner, who is a Chinese from mainland China was very friendly too. He helped us to grill the meat until its super tenderly soft and chewy! There was once where he straight picked a piece of meat and asked me to open my mouth, I was like, stunned awhile, and he said, please try this now, it's superb, and without waiting for me to response, pushed the meat into my half-opened mouth. His skills were superb that he grilled the meat to perfection, and you could feel the juices from the steaming hot tender flesh when you bit on it. It was awesome even you eat it without the kimchi vege! *Please ignore my poor descriptions. Just remember that, the food was superb!*

See the sexy flame? XD

One of the things that we like about Korean BBQ is that, the side dishes are all free-refill! Aww.. Its such a huge advantage for people with huge appetite, eg me LOL.. (Nah, I was, but no longer eat so much now haha)

Close-up view XD

Here's few photos taken with my mobile phone, obviously not as high-res as those shared above!

Able to guess which meat is which? XD

The dark one was beef, the middle ones were prok ribs
(If I remember correctly haha)

It costed us KRW 25,000 per person. It looks like so little right? But it was already super filling for us even though we didn't order rice! I think it was due to the spiciness of the sauces, that I had more water than food LOL..

Ending my post here with a photo I posted in IG back then:

*Drooling ~~

Stay tuned for more updates on our Korea trip :D

X'mas 2015

I've been a big fan of Gossip Girl, especially Blair Waldorf and Chuck Bass! I've always wanted to have a sleep over with close friends of mine just like what Blair likes to do. This time round, we made it. CT came over after her work on X'mas Eve. Oh well, I know how exhausting it is to work in retail on shift hours and especially on festive season!

She came over with her laptop and some titbits to fulfil one of our agendas, watch movie on bed with popcorns! While she was trying to fully "utilize" my house's wifi, I attempted to try using the hair curler I bought from Korea as I had nothing to do. Little did I know that I needed an adaptor for it in order to fit into our socket! Ishh.. Jinjia.. Then, I think we spent like, one hour like that, trying to figure how the hell to use a curler because it's too mini!! We ended up kinda ruin our hair as CT said she saw her hair macam turned a bit choco color d.. LOL.. So yeah, we gave up~

XD
The movie was "Our Times", I would say it was rather over-rated lar, wasn't really up to expectation. So yeah, after movie, we turned of the light, lay on bed and talked about life. IKR, we are like old people like that, of all topics and gossips, we chose to talk about life, LOL.. Wanted to put on masks I brought back from Korea but she said it's not good to put it all the way till morning if it's not sleeping mask. Oh well, perhaps next time then.

I think we fell asleep around 3 something in the morning and woke up at 9, getting ready and left to LRT station to meet YT. First time we got dressed up and put make up together neh :D

Aww
After we each had a burger at the station (ya, no time to eat before leaving lol), we went NU Central to shop for X'mas gift. First went to Typo but couldn't find any. Then, CT went to MPH while I went to Bath and Body Works. Gosh, super nice smell lar the shop! I was so tempted to buy some for myself leh TBH.. After spending like one hour in NU Central, we had finally settled down with our gifts and met up with YT in her orange hybrid car.

We wanted to try our luck at ACME Bar and Cafe but it was full house. So we proceed to a last minute Plan B, which was Black Market. The place was recommended by YT. I would say the environment and surrounding is ok lar, just that the entrance to the restaurant was a bit hard to tolerate lar, it smells like fish market lol. Anyway, we all ordered set lunch which comes with soup and tea of your choice.

YT with her pork burger.
CT with her Blank Market grilled chicken chop.
My Red Hot grilled chicken chop.
So yeah, we thought wanted to exchange gift after having lunch. Who knows the waiter came and said they were closing already and they were kinda rushing us to pay bill though we had hardly begin on our meal. Not syok lar ok.. So after we finished, we left without exchanging gift lol..

Then we headed to Pavilion because I insisted want to take photo with the X'mas tree haha.. It was super jam lar omg.. We spent one hour to travel 4.4km walao.. No wonder people rather stay at home during festive seasons than going out.. But it had been like, almost a year since our last hangout with YT. Though she "showed face" during our celebration for our friends' birthday but that doesn't really count because we hardly catch up anything.. So yeah, after a "horrendous" jam, we finally got a parking!

Aww, same color :D
Me with my out-of-shape hair LOL
Then, we passed by MilkCow and CT said she wanna try because it was quite popular. So yeah, as it is, just popular, the "natural ice-cream" tastes just like ordinary ice-cream. Too over-rated again. Then we visited the Samsung store as we both planning to change our phone. Then we teman YT to look for her Tumbler, went to G2000 because there was sales but couldn't get anything cause couldn't find the design that I like. Then went to Fossil to survey present. Then finally, we decided to find a place to sit and rest as I was alarming them on how pain my legs and toes were for wearing heals LOL..

Settled down in a typical place, Starbucks! Haha.. There was where we really had our time to chat lar TBH! Chat about what? We talked about life again!! LOL, but also abit about our travel plan lar.. I never really travel with CT and YT before neh omg.. So yeah, need to wait CT to get her postings news then only we can really plan and decide on the details. But just the fact that we are to have a trip together next year is so exciting seriously. Oh wait, which mean, its time to save money again ~~

Starbucks was also the place where we finally got the time and chance to exchange gift LOL..

:D
Then we headed to the entrance of Pavilion again as YT said there would be some "fake snow" starting from 8pm. Manatau when we reached there, it was so disappointing lar.. Idk how to describe it but it was very super overcrowded! And the snow was very "stingy" omg, langsung couldn't feel anything.. zzzz

So yeah, we left. YT sent us back to LRT station and there it goes, our X'mas hangout~~

This basically sums up the day.
Thanks for spending quality time together ok, thanks for the gifts, the talks and the laughters!! Hope you all love the gifts from me lar, it smells super nice ok!!

Then, on the X'mas day itself, I had a sleepover with my cousie..
Awww~~~ ❤❤❤ over-loaded on this meaningful season :D
Hope whoever reading this, had a wonderful and unforgettable X'mas too :)

Krabi 4D3N: Dinner.. Food.. Night Market..

I would say that the price of the food in Krabi are quite reasonable and affordable. I am referring to local food lar, if you want some western food there (which I think kinda weird if you really wish to), or go to some international chain stores, then it's another different story. There was this Thai Cuisine Restaurant that we went to, the food was awesome, and the price was way cheaper than in my home country!

Day 1:

We had our dinner here the first night in Krabi.

You may choose the type of fish you want on-the-spot.. We didn't, 'cause we don't know how.. lol..

Tomyam Seafood! SUUUUUPPPER AWESOME! ❤❤
The spiciness and the sourness are in the right combination!
You would never find this in Malaysia!

Sweet and sour fish :)

A close-up view.. Should have chosen a better angle though.. Aiks..

Sweet and sour pork XD
Pad Thai, which tastes like our Char Kuey Tiao.. Hehe..
Guess how much all these costed us? It was only THB 1200 for four persons, which was around MYR 30 per person. Not bad leh!! Super filling!!

Day 2:

Could you recognize this place? XD
Do you know the difference?
Left: Large size
Right: REGULAR! (which is equivalent to our large right?)
This was a regular set of Samurai Pork Burger, around THB 200+..
See the size of the fries and the drink? (Use my Sony Xperia Z1 as reference)
People go to Hard Rock Cafe when they travel, we went Mc'D pulak.. LOL.. What to do? We were in a rush and it seemed only right to have fast food in this situation.. Haha..

Day 3: Night Market

OMG! *Drooling*
All sorts of finger-food
I had this for dinner. The Pad Thai was around THB 40+ if not mistaken.
Orange smoothies, THB 40.
Notice their plastic "bag"? No.. No bag.. Haha..
MUST TRY! :D
I don't know what they called this though. But it tastes salty, then sweet, definitely unique!
It looks like a drumstick, only made from flour.. lol.. Didn't manage to try it out though.. Aiks..
This ain't no bistro! Haha.. I bought almost all of my souvenirs here!
My Xiao Poh's favourite: Ice-bar made from carbonated drink.
She bought one with Coke & 100Plus? Quite ok lar~~~
There are really a lot of some other food lar which I didn't manage to try them out, spent most of my "reserves" on souvenirs already.. lol.. But I wish I had not bought them in just one store, 'cause you could get cheaper in some other stalls if you are good in bargaining I think. The shop I went had set the price standard.. so.. yeah.. Lesson learnt! Anyway, besides food, you could find a whole lot of some other stuffs there too, eg: footwear, bags, perfume, smartphone casing, t-shirt etc etc. It's exactly like Night Market in Malaysia lar, in other words. Hehe..
